A day at Children First for 2 to 4 year olds

The bilingual preschool day starts at 9am.

• Morning Circle Time in English or German 9.10am – the first group lesson of the day.
  We sing and practice listening, speaking, and communication skills to develop understanding in a structured group. A theme may be introduced to the children, a story told or a game explained. This daily mini-meeting also addresses any emotional issues affecting group dynamics – such as the arrival of a new sibling at home.
• Fruit shared, true to the Children First tradition, eating is part of the curriculum!
• Outdoor play and exercise in our purpose-built playground

Followed by:

• Lunch
• Quiet Time until 1.30pm
• Afternoon classes including individual language tutoring and group activities.
• At 3.30pm, the children come together for an English Montessori ‘teatime’ snack, usually savoury.
• After-school session: specialist classes, individual extension activities or guided play outdoors with qualified adult supervision.

Pick-up time is between 5pm and 6pm.
